Will Mets trade Jay Bruce?

Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Mets are trying to make and listen to offers for Jay Bruce, but it seems like no one is interested for now. With Yoenis Cespedes returning, it makes sense to trade Bruce. He was acquired in a trade last season from the Cincinnati Reds, and he struggled.

It would make more sense if Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo play almost everyday in 2017, and let them work through there struggles.

Where will Bruce land and what do the Mets want in return? The Mets are looking for a prospect or two and some relief pitching. A couple teams that makes sense for him to go are: Toronto Blue Jays, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals.

If the Mets can't find anyone to trade him to, they will have his $13 bonus on the books for next year. It will also mean another waiting period for the young outfielders.
