After 6 long months, football is back!

Finally after such a long wait, the Northern Football Alliance returned on Wednesday night for the first round of league fixtures.

When the season stopped nobody could have seen the changes that would come about. The competition lost 3 clubs, Blyth Spartans Reserves, Wideopen A and Lowick. In the run up to the season starting another 2 fell, Blyth FC & Burradon FC. With the last 2 folding at a late stage the competition was unable to replace these team's meaning the newly named 3rd Division would run on just 14 side's for season 2020/2021.

Blyth Town U23's, Cullercoats Reserves & AFC Newbiggin Central have joined and will compete in Division 3.

Last season's premier Division remains the same. Haltwhistle Jubilee have been moved to Division 1, West Jesmond, Ponteland United Reserves & Ashington AFC Reserves have all been moved into Division 2.

We wish all 62 clubs, volunteers, referees, assistant referees & supporters all the best for this coming season
