The skill also matters a lot but height has its own fringe benefit. It is true that players with short height also play well but the tallest players have their own grace. In the National Basketball Association, tall players always get more benefits. Other things like strength, on-court speed, and wingspan are also very important. A lot of NBA players were fashion icons of their own time. People used to follow their style. But styling for NBA players was not as easy as we all are thinking. As they are tall, therefore, it’s very difficult for them to do shopping. Such large-sized clothes are not easily available. 1) Ralph Sampson:

Ralph Sampson is one of the tallest players among all basketball players with an incredible height of 7 feet and 4 inches. He was the leading player of the NBA in 1983. Unfortunately, he got three knee injuries on the knee. Due to injury, he played in 441 NBA games only. After playing in NBA games, he played in the Spanish league for one year only.

2) Slavko Vranes:

Montenegrin Slavko Vranes was a European player with the remarkable height of 7 feet and 5 inches. Later he was noticed and approved by knick. After that, he signed the contract of 10 days for Portland Trail Blazers. He played for NBA for only one year (2003-2004). Currently, he is playing for the Iranian team Zob Ahan Isfahan.

4) Shawn Bradley:

Shawn Bradley was born in Germany and raised in Utah. His height is 7 feet and 6 inches. He joined NBA in 1993 and he was signed by Philadelphia 76ers. His size made him the best scorer. Bradley was shifted to New Jersey Jets but due to lack of improvement, he was again shifted to Dallas Mavericks in 1997 and played till 2005. He got retired in 2005. During these years, he improved his performance a lot. And he became the best defender. Later, he went for politics.

5) Manute Bol:

Manute Bol was another player in NBA with an impressive height of 7 feet and 7 inches. Due to his height, he became one of the best shot blockers. His performance of 3.34 blocks in each game added his name in the record books on 2nd number. His game was not so good. But he played in 6 NBA teams between 10 years (1985-1995). Then he played for Italy and Qatar in 1997 and 1998 respectively. After that, he took retirement due to illness. Then he died in 2010 due to kidney failure.

6) Mark Eaton:

Mark Eaton is still considered as the best defensive player in the history of the NBA. He has an awesome height of 7 feet and 4 inches. His performance of 3.50 blocks per game helped him in setting records. He got retired in 1993. Now, he is a sports commentator.

7) Rik Smits:

Rik Smits was born in Dutch. He played for NBA for 12 years having a height of 7 feet and 4 inches. And he only played for Indian pacers throughout his career of NBA. Unfortunately, he got the nerve damage due to foot injury. Then he took retirement in 1999.

8) Pavel Podkolzin:

Pavel Podkolzin was born in Russia and grew with a remarkable height of 7 feet 4 inches. He played for the Italian team before entering the NBA. He joined NBA in 2004. Dallas Mavericks signed him but he failed to give a good impression. He just played 6 games in 2 years. Then, he returned back to Russia and played for Sibirtelcom Lokomotiv Novosibirsk 2011.

9) Chuck Nevitt:

Chuck Nevitt was another NBA player with an impressive height of 7 feet and 5 inches. He played for 11 years in NBA. The total number of games played by him was 155. His active years were 1983-1993. After leaving the NBA, he played for another team, Hartford Hellcats. Then, he got retirement from sports and started making his career in IT and became an IT professional.

10) Gheorghe Muresan:

He was another player who played for the NBA because of his incredible height of 7 feet and 7 inches. First, he was playing for France then Washington selected him in 1993. His performance was only 1.5 blocks per game. He took retirement in 2006 due to some severe injuries. After taking retirement, he started doing charity work.
