(Repost) Superbowl predictions: Is it a foregone conclusion?

Hello and welcome to my Superbowl preview. Given the time restraints I currently have I am simply going to provide a prediction for what should be one of the most exciting Superbowl’s in recent years. Here’s to hoping the Patriots don’t dominate the Eagles in the first half…

Key to victory for the Patriots: Consistently moving the chains will be vital for Brady and company. With their defense operating a very much bend but do not break mentality, the more time they can allow it to rest, the better chance they have to further disrupt the Eagles. Expect Josh McDaniels to fire up a game-plan that tests the Eagles in various ways and if they can keep the ball moving, you are leaving the game in the hands of perhaps the best player to ever play the game.

Key to victory for the Eagles: The performance of the Nick Foles led offense. One can always expect the defense to keep them in games at this point. What has been a pleasant surprise so far this postseason has been the play of Nick Foles and the play-calling of the coaching staff. For the Eagles to win, they are going to have to call the game of their lives and hope Nick Foles pulls it off.

Game prediction: 24-31; It is just too difficult to see the Eagles overcoming the Patriots in this one. This is likely to come down to which team can score more points and for that the edge has to go to the Patriots. The Eagles scheming has been amazing to watch over the past few games, but I’d be surprised if they continue to catch the Patriots out with Nick Foles under center.
