BREAKING NEWS: Carolina Panthers Cut CB Bene Benwikere

After possibly his worst game of his 2+ year career, the Carolina Panthers have cut cornerback Bene Benwikere according to sources.

Benwikere struggled to say the least against Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones this past Sunday, and has struggled through all of the first four games this season. Logging just one interception (in Week 1 against Denver), and just eight tackles with no pass break ups.

It should be noted though that Benwikere ended last season on IR with a leg injury and actually began training camp in 2016 on the PUP list, leading some to believe that Benwikere's conditioning may not have been where it needed to be.

The Panthers now have Robert McClain, Teddy Williams and rookies Daryl Worley and James Bradberry in manning their cornerback positions. It will be interesting to see if the Panther's make a move to add a player to a position of great need.
