Premier League Matchweek 1 Predictions Sunday

Newcastle vs Spurs

Tottenham's did not sign a single player in the transfer window and because of this a lot of fans have been concerned but I think they are well rounded enough and one signing will be enough. Spurs have what it takes to make the top 4 and even more if they do not slip up at crucial moments like last season. Pochettino deserves a lot of credit for what he has done over the past few seasons at White Hart Lane. Newcastle under Rafa Benitez looked very good last season and for me their standout player was Matt Ritchie. A creative attacking midfielder with great technique, he led the magpies to the Championship trophy but I think he cannot lead them to a draw so I think Spurs will comfortably see off Newcastle.

Prediction: Newcastle 0-3 Spurs

Manchester United vs West Ham

West Ham have added a lot of quality to their squad this season with Marko Arnautovic, Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart but the name which stands out is Chicharito who is ready to be the complete striker the Hammers have been missing for a while and I think he could reach the 20 goal mark this season. United on the other hand signed Lindelof, Matic and Lukaku. This means that they have better squad depth in all the positions but the lack of a proper big game player will mean that they will probably miss out on a top 4 spot. West Ham could trouble United and Old Trafford and I think they will draw.

Prediction: Manchester Utd 1-1 West Ham
