NBA: Noah missed team dinner due to a difference in beliefs
Yesterday the New York Knicks had a dinner with the cadets at West Point. The Knicks have been using their facilities for training camp. Oddly enough Joakim Noah was a no-show. Rumors started swirling that Noah missed the dinner on purpose. Today Noah told reporters the he did not attend the dinner because he does not believe in violence or war. He was uncomfortable to be in that military environment.
Joakim Noah said he skipped a team dinner with cadets at West Point last in which a colonel spoke because he is uncomfortable in a military environment and against war.
Noah went on to say that he has nothing against the people who fight for our country or trying to disrespect any of them but he does not believe in violence as the answer. This was a situation that Noah did not want to be part of because it was against his beliefs.
