NBA: Rose under investigation by the LAPD

The Derrick Rose case is about to get started on Oct 4th. Today the  LAPD announced that they have been actively investigating the criminal rape charges. They also sent out a letter to say that the women in this case will stay anonymous. Rose and his team have been vivid in wanting the women's identity to be revealed. The judge had ruled for that to happen but with this new news that may not happen.

In a letter addressed to the lawyer of Rose’s "Jane Doe" accuser, the LAPD confirmed they have an open criminal investigation into Derrick Rose regarding the rape accusations levied against the Knicks guard.
The letter, written by an LAPD detective, noted that the alleged victim "exercised her right to confidentiality" when filing the report. The letter — and the detective's testimony — will be used to persuade the judge in the $21.5 million civil case to change his ruling allowing Jane Doe's identity to be revealed.

This trial has yet to even start and the Knicks will be entering training camp tomorrow. The Knicks have to hope this gets resolved soon or Rose could miss practices and preseason games. This news just tells us that the LAPD will also be involved in this investigation and that the women will stay anonymous at this time.
