Green Bay Packers: A well-oiled machine running on a cylinders
It was the ideal playoff environment in Green Bay, with temperatures in the low teens and cheeseheads filling Lambeau Field to its capacity. The Packers would not have had it any other way, closing out Wild Card Weekend with a convincing 38 - 13 home victory over the New York Giants. The Packers' offense was on full display, led by sure MVP candidate and superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who yet a gain put forth a nearly flawless performance at the most opportune of times.

Rodgers threw for 362 yards and four touchdowns, three of which were to wideout Randall Cobb, including a Hail Mary to end the first half. The other was to fellow receiver Davante Adams on a throw that only Rodgers could make, given his ability to read defenses and extend the play with his feet. Both Adams and Cobb combined for 241 yards, proving their value to the team following subpar seasons.
On defense the Packers threw the kitchen sink at the Giants, driven by veteran defensive end Julius Peppers and linebacker Clay Matthews, each contributing one sack. Matthews also forced a fumble late in the game while second-year cornerback Damarious Randall intercepted Giants quarterback Eli Manning. Arguably the best receiver in football, superstar wideout Odell Beckham Jr.was held to just 28 yards on four receptions in his first playoff appearance. The Packers defense made a statement Sunday, proving that they are formidable and highly capable of stopping any offense, about to face the ultimate test against the offensive juggernaught that is the Dallas Cowboys.
