NFL Fantasy: Does Kaepernick have fantasy value?
The San Francisco 49ers have named Colin Kaepernick started this week against the Buffalo Bills. The 49ers are giving Kaepernick a shot because well what else could go wrong for the 49ers? Already 1-4 and have lost four straight games, but could this be the turning point?
The 49ers don't have a lot of offensive weapons and this is looking like they might win less than a handful of games all season. Might as well start Kaepernick it can't hurt anything after Blaine Gabbert struggled last week against the Arizona Cardinals. Kaepernick has 56 touchdowns and 26 interceptions over his five year career this being his 6th NFL season.
While Kaepernick could bring a spark to the 49ers I don't believe it's enough. The team doesn't have enough offensive weapons to make Kaepernick worth the pickup. He might do better than Gabbert, but unless your quarterback situation is that desperate Kaepernick is not worth getting in fantasy football.
