Watching Game 3 last night made think of the famous Danny Green quote "...they are who we thought they were." The Bulls looked like the .500 team that they are and looked lost both offensively and defensively without their floor general Rajon Rondo.

It didn't help that the Celtics were hitting shots, shooting 48% from the field and 46% from three. The Celtics had a well balanced attack with five players scoring in double figures of which four scored 15 or more. Each Celtics starter hit at least two threes and they hit 17 as team who only averaged 12 made threes per game in the regular season.

The Bulls on the other hand couldn't find an offensive rhythm without Rondo and played with no pace. Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade were a combine 13/39 from the field and 0/5 from three. Butler didn't even attempt a free throw on the night as he and Wade found it hard to get easy looks at the basket and get the ball where they wanted it without Rondo.

As for the two guys who replaced Rondo, Jerian Grant and Michael Carter-Williams, they combined to go 3/10 from the field for eight points, five rebounds, three assists and seven turnovers. The absence of Rondo was felt immediately and the Bulls will need better performances from their two stars if they want win this series.
