Two Big Questions:Minnesota Vikings

Will There Be A Quarterback Battle?

The Minnesota Vikings headed into the 2016 off-season with expectations of getting to the Super Bowl in the following season. On August 30th, those expectations seemed to go down the drain as then starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater tore his left ACL and dislocated his knee. Coach Mike Zimmer and the Vikings did not panic as they made a deal soon thereafter with the Philadelphia Eagles in which they traded their 2017 first round pick for Sam Bradford. Bradford went on to set the record for highest completion percentage in an NFL season. Now comes 2017 off-season and Bradford is (as of now) slated as the starting quarterback but then there is Bridgewater. Bridgewater is now throwing passes in OTA’s and even though he isn't clear to practice, Vikings teammates have expressed how his leadership affects the locker room and how they love the work he is doing in rehab. If Bridgewater is healthy at any point of this season, will Zimmer sit Bradford? Only time will tell.

Can Anyone Replace Adrian Peterson?

Arguably the best running back the Vikings had seen since Herschel Walker had now left the building and went south to New Orleans. Replacing a legend is always hard and running backs Latavius Murray, Dalvin Cook and Jerick McKinnon have big shoes to fill. Murray is recovering from ankle surgery, Cook is a rookie and McKinnon has been serviceable but may take time to be a feature back. More than likely, the Vikings’ rushing attack will be by committee. If Cook shows flashes of Florida State Dalvin Cook, his carries will go up and even though he isn't Peterson, he would be a viable replacement.
