MLB: Chicago White Sox at Cleveland Indians

Hello Everybody. The Cleveland Indians got a Big Boost from Michael Brantley on Tuesday as he came back form a season ending injury he suffered last year.

And what a comeback it was. The Indians beat the Chicago White Sox 2-1 in 10 innings. Brantley got a walk-off base-hit in the bottom of the 10th inning off of White Sox Relief Pitcher Tommy KAHNLE.

The Rally started with Francisco LINDOR getting a base-hit in the 10th. Then it was Michael Brantley who was the Hero driving in LINDOR For the Indians 4th Home opening win in the History of Progressive Field.

Obviously the stars for the Indians were those two guys there. And the Pitching was excellent as well.

Francisco LINDOR, He went 1-2 with 1 RBI and 2 runs.

Michael Brantley, The hero of the game, He went 1-3 with 2 walks and 1 strikeout.

As far as the pitching went, when I said it was excellent, it was excellent.

Carlos Carrasco, He pitched 7 solid innings, He only allowed 4 hits along with 1 run, 1 earned run and he had 7 strikeouts.

Andrew Miller came in relief and pitched a solid inning himself as he only allowed 2 hits and he had a strikeout.

Then it was Cody Allen's turn as he pitched a solid inning and had 3 strikeouts himself.

But when it was all said and done it was Brain Shaw who got the win for the Indians.

The White Sox on the other hand didn't have much to brag about on Tuesday.

The Only Bright spot was Todd Frazier, He went 2-4 with 1 run but he did have 2 strikeouts.

The Pitching was good but not great. James Shields, he went 5.1 innings

he only allowed 2 hits, 1 run, 1 earned run, 2 walks and he did have 6 strikeouts.

But it will be Tommy KAHNLE who will get the loss. He only pitched 0.2 innings, he only gave up 1 hit and did have 2 strikeouts, But he was the pitcher that gave-up the walk-off to Michael Brantley.

And Speaking off Michael Brantley and Francisco LINDOR, they both addressed the media after the game. Brantley told reporters " I am so glad to be back on the field after missing the whole season last year. It was so good to be the hero of the day today and I feel so good right now and I hope we can carry the momentum into Wednesday's game.

Francisco LINDOR addressed the media. He didn't take any of the credit for the Indians victory. He said " all of the credit goes to Michael and he's the reason we won the game. But I feel so good that we won the home opener and I feel good going forward and I hope we can keep on winning.

Indians Manager Terry FRANCONA also talked to reporters after the game and he said the following " We won the game and it was so good to have Brantley back after what he went through last year. It was a good win, but we have got to play better than we did today. We had Missed chances at taking the lead and we should have won it in the ninth. But all and all this was a good start for our ball club at home."

But despite the fact that the Indians won their home opener I am concerned about the hitting. Here's what I mean.

Edwin ENCARNACION, he was supposed to be the Big bat that the Indians got from Toronto. He went 0-4 with 2 strikeouts. He's only Hitting .185 right now. And that's not good if you want to be in the discussion for a chance to play everyday.

Yan Gomes, another surprise, He was supposed to be one of the guys that comes through for the Indians, He went 0-4 with 2 strikeouts, He's only hitting .056 right now. Those numbers are very horrible and he better get it together or he's going to be on the bench.

Another Surprise bat is Tyler Naquin. He went 0-4 with 3 strikeouts. He was another bat that the Indians were looking for in Tuesday but he didn't show-up at all.

Well enough of the negative, now let's talk about the POSITIVE. Here's my take, It was so good to see Michael Brantley out on the field yesterday after he missed almost all of last season due to injury. Brantley was out their being the hero of the game. The Indians led all of Major League Baseball with the most walk-off wins last year. Will it happen again, Well the way things are going right now it might. But personally I would like to see some more convincing wins for the Cleveland Indians because all of these walk-off wins are causing more stress for me. And some of these 2-1 or 3-2 walk-off wins are becoming to much for me and My heart can't take it after last season.

But in closing I will say this and it's short and to the point.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN MICHAEL BRANTYLEY IS BACK IN A BIG WAY. AND THE INDIANS ARE BACK IN A BIG WAY TO.
