New York Mets ace Pitcher Matt Harvey will undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder after he was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome.

Harvey had a career worst 4.86 ERA this season as he continued to have struggles start after start and just couldn't find his rhythm.

Harvey exited his last start after experiencing shoulder discomfort and was examined by doctors which resulted in the diagnosis.

This is yet another blow to a Mets team that has suffered a slew of injuries to major contributors such as David Wright and Lucas Duda. Steven Matz is also dealing with painful bone spurs in his elbow which also raises concerns.
