Bermane Stiverne dismisses Ortiz & Whyte Rumours and focuses on "Bigger Things!"

Bermane Stiverne was recently installed as the number 1 contender for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world. The current holder of that belt is the unbeaten "Bronze Bomber" Deontay Wilder who also holds a points win over Stiverne to capture the title. Stiverne was due to fight Alexander Povetkin but due to AP failing a drugs test for the final eliminator to be installed as number 1 contender, the fight fell through and Povetkin has now been removed from the WBC rankings. Stiverne was ranked 2 at the time, Povetkin was the number 1 contender.

Despite numerous boxing websites and forums suggesting the fight between Bermane Stiverne and newly installed number 2 contender Luis Ortiz was on the cards, the rumours were unfounded. As were the rumours of a fight with  former British Heavyweight Champion Dillian Whyte who recently reliqunished his belt.  Stiverne confirmed live and exclusive on BAYLORIC WORLDWIDE TV that rumours of a fight with both Ortiz & Whyte were "untrue" and that he has his mind on bigger things, what those bigger things were he wasn't in a position to reveal, but what Stiverne did say is that he is at the top of the mountain and will only focus on what he is there to accomplish which by his whole outlook is a rematch against bitter rival Deontay Wilder.  Bermane Stiverne said he would be making an announcement via BaylorIC Worldwide TV shortly with clarification as to what his plans are and what the WBC will order. Stay Tuned!!
