Year of the Outfielders

The Red Sox last year had one of the best outfields in the league, and it just got a lot better. This offseason they gained more talent by adding J.D. Martinez to the roster. Veteran experience matched with the potential that these young players, such as Benintendi and Betts have the possibilities are endless. This Spring Training has already showed that they have great chemistry and have a determination to win. Players like Mookie Betts and Andrew Benintendi are already showing promising numbers on the field, ready to carry momentum over to the regular season. Mookie went for an AVG of .327 and having 3 home runs as well. Where as Benny had an AVG of .391 and 4 home runs. These players seem to be responding well to the new hitting coach, Tim Hyers. With opening day approaching quickly it will be interesting to watch how these players come together on the field and how they will start off their season in the lineup.
