3 Biggest Winners and Losers From the Draft

3 Winners:

1. Timberwolves: Its not due to who they drafted but because they got Jimmy Butler. One of the two most sought after players this offseason (with PG13). Butler can be exactly what the Timberwolves need to finally make the leap from a talented young team with potential to a playoff team that should be able to really challenge the warriors in a couple of years.

2. Kings: Made four great picks in this draft. First with Fox who will be an amazing compliment in the backcourt to sharpshooter Buddy Hield. Then picking up Josh Jackson and Harry Giles due to a trade with the Blazers. Harry Giles could be the steal of the draft if he stays healthy.Plus in the second round the Kings took Frank Jackson III who was a proven team leader at the college level.

3. Hornets: I wanted to switch it up a little from the more obvious winners and go with the Hornets because i really like what they added on draft night and the days before. Dwight Howard may not be what he once was but I believe he still has potential to get back to his old self, and i think the hornets could be the right fit to help this happen. Also drafting the best shooter in the draft in Malik Monk will really help out Kemba in the backcourt.

3 Losers

1. Bulls: Basically because of the same reason why the Timberwolves were winners. They gave up Jimmy Butler. Yes they did get two good young guards but Lavine is coming off a major knee injury and Dunn has a lot of improving to do. This could work out down the rode especially if Butler would have probably left when he became a Free Agent.

2. Knicks: This is tough to write because i really like Frank Ntildia but he has a lot to learn so he will not be making much of adifference for a couple years and the Knicks really cannot wait because soon Melo will leave and most likely Porzingus as well. To make things worse Phil Jackson drafted him because of how he can fit in the triangle offfense, but i believe Phil Jackson will be out of the Knicks front offense before Frank is fully ready and that means they will not be running the triangle offense anymore.

3. Pacers: The Pacers failed to move Paul George before or on draft night which means the longer they wait to trade PG13 the less they will get for him since he says he will leave after this year to sign with the Lakers. Which means he is basically a one year rental and teams are not willing to give up all that much just for a one year rental.
