Premier League Post Bits.

Not much has changed from the fixtures last week. Manchester City continues to plow through the opposition, putting another five spot on another opponent. That team was Crystal Palace, who are still looking for their first league goal of this season. Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal keep pace with their wins. Here are some short takes on this past weekend.

*Tottenham gets back on track with their 3-2 victory over their London neighbors, West Ham. Harry Kane potted two goals as the Spurs jumped on the Hammers. West Ham rallied with goals by Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate. Tottenhams' Serge Aurier was given two yellow cards, leaving the Spurs a man short for approximately the final 20 minutes.

*Romelu Lukaku scored his sixth Premier League goal midway through the first half to lead Manchester United to a 1-0 win over Southampton. This was Uniteds' fifth clean sheet in six league matches.

*Jose Mourinho had trouble keeping inside his technical area once again. Referee, Craig Pawson sent him to the stands.

*Liverpools' defensive problems showed up again but survived Leicester, 3-2. Liverpool goalkeeper; Simon Mignolet, was almost the goat, but became the savior. Mignolet was penalized by bringing down Jamie Vardy in the box. Mignolet saved Vardys' penalty kick that would have tied the game.

Liverpool has conceded 11 goals in six league matches; which ranks as second worst in the league.

*Chelsea keeps pace by ripping Stoke, 4-0 behind Alvaro Moratas' hat trick. Morata is tied with Lukaku and Sergio Arguero for the league lead in goals with six.

Chelsea gets ready for the big match with Manchester City next week.

*The Huddersfield defense deserves mention. The newly promoted club has a surprising 9 points, powered by four clean sheets.

*The battle of the other two promoted clubs resulted in a 1-0 Brighton victory over a hot Newcastle. Brightons' Toner Hamed scored the game winning goal; but may face a three match ban for stamping DeAndre Yedlin.

*Crystal Palace scoreless run has reached 540 minutes; easily a Premier League record.
