Pens Run Into a Little Trouble

Last Thursday, the Pens traveled to Minnesota, a tough place to play road games. The Wild won 4-2 as Devan Dubnyk made 39 saves and Eric Staal scored the game winner in the 3rd. Saturday, the Pens returned home to host the Toronto Maple Leafs. Crosby and Malkin netted one more goal each as the Penguins rolled to a 4-1 victory and Matt Murray improved to 4-0 as a starter this year. Then, Wednesday night came. A reeling Capitals team who had lost four straight previously absolutely demolished the Pens 7-1. From the start, the Caps were the aggressor as they led 3-0 after just the 1st. Murray nor Fleury could put a stop to their offense. Nicklas Backstrom tallied five points in this route which drops the Pens to 10-4-2.
