Eagles at Cowboys Preview
Sunday Night Football will feature the next round of the divisional grudge match between long time rivals Philadelphia and Dallas. The winner walks out as the first place team in the division. While this is always an entertaining match-up because of the history and bad blood. This year a new chapter opens as both teams have been rejuvenated by rookie QBs.
Dallas was expected to really struggle this season after Tony Romo suffered another injury in the preseason. But rookie Dak Prescott has come in and given the Cowboys a steady hand and excelled. The NFL's leading rusher at this point (rookie RB Elliot) has helped Prescott and the defense by grinding out yards on the ground. Now Dallas finds themselves in first place.
Just in time for Philadelphia and rookie QB Carson Wentz to come to town looking to climb on top of the division. Philly's strength so far has been a tough defense that swarms and rushes the passer well. Fletcher Cox is leading a rugged group of linemen in Philly. And the Birds defensive front will need to bring their lunch box to complete with Dallas highly rated offensive line. Also, Dez Bryant returns to the playing field on Sunday Night.
