Last night Oklahoma Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, a Long Beach native and former UCLA Bruin, had one of the greatest games in NBA history with 51 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a 113-110 overtime win for the Thunder over the Phoenix Suns.

It was the first time in more than 40 years that a player achieved a 50+ point triple double since Los Angeles Lakers hall-of-famer and UCLA Bruins grad Kareem Abdul-Jabar was a Milwaukee Bucks player and had 50 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists on Jan. 19, 1975 against the Portland Trailblazers.
