Influential recruiting

In last nights Duke-Carolina game, Micheal Jordan was in attendance to announce that the Jordan Brand will supply the football team of his Alma-mater.  During halftime, Jordan gave a speech about the school while he announced what his brand would be doing, but presence may have done more for the basketball program than the football program.

Kevin Knox and Zion Williamson , two five star recruits of the program, were in attendance as well last night. UNC has not signed a five-star recruit since Harrison Barnes in 2010. So with a person of the statue of Jordan on the court last night addressing the fans at halftime and the team before the game, that may influence the decision of the two high schoolers.

Carolina head coach Roy Williams will begin his recruiting for the 2018-2019 season during the summer months, but the time is now to sign players for next season. While Williamson is only a sophomore in high school right now, his talents are being highly sought after by top colleges.

Knox is a senior this season and along with UNC he is also looking at Duke and Kentucky for potential schools next season. With Jordan at the game last night, and UNC winning the game, perhaps the chances of the program landing one of those players has risen.

Influential people can change the minds of others very easily, and from a basketball perspective Jordan is the best there is.
