#believeincharlie

Hey everyone, que pasa mi gente...hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays thus far. Blessings to you guys.

So my brothers sent me a picture of a fan holding up the sign (see image above)…

It was from the last game we played shorthanded against OKC at our place. We had to play without Tyson who had back spasms so everyone had to step up. Dirk started at the 5 and understand this...Tyson is a BIG part of what we do. So big props to JJ for being inserted into the starting lineup and Greg Smith did his thing…guys stepped up.

Anyway, the word “believe”...it has always been a part of my life and my day-to-day slogan. I even have a tattoo of it, check it out…

All my tats (and I am not done inking myself) mean something to me, but especially this “believe” tat. When the last NBA season ended, I was talking to my agency (Excel Sports) and my brothers and we all decided to take that slogan and make it into a campaign…”Believe in Charlie” (see picture below). To me, if you aren't going to believe in yourself then who is? I had to believe and have faith in myself last Summer during a critical off-season…it was the first time I was in a situation where my basketball future was uncertain. BUT the campaign isn't only about me. It is about everyone believing in themselves. I encourage people to do that because I know that it is an important part of success. The campaign, the slogan goes WAY beyond me, WAY beyond basketball.

I loved that sign and I love the slogan. Always believe and if you guys have any cool “believe” signs or tats share them via this blog or tweet/instagram me at @cvbelieve - use the hashtag #believeincharlie - I check it regularly.

Believe in 2015 and never stop believing in Dallas! We have something special progressing. Again, happy holidays to everyone!!!

Happy New Year,

PS—JJ Watt of the Texans said something really cool to the media that I loved,

“Success is not bought. It is leased and the rent is due everyday.”
