2017 Preseason Rankings

With a long season ahead we look into what to expect. After the draft only 24 hours ago we go into rankings based on how teams look on paper. This may not add to what happens in the season, but it's nice to think it will.

12. Chi Beans- CZ

A team that seems to already put themselves in a hole with 3 usual everyday players in the DL. With a recent trade that sends Segura to Seattle hurts his hitting even coming off a career season in Arizona a year ago. Having a solid 1 and 2 won't help this team. Nothing great outside of Goldschmidt in the lineup and pitching can use some help.

11. Team Martz

I don't expect Team Martz to stay this low, but if certain people stay unhealthy it can be long season. Having Dyson at utility can be rough, Have all 3 Mets starters can make or break this team and only time will tell. Again no big offensive threats. Having big bats that strikeout a lot can hurt. Although ranked 11, definitely a threat to win her division.

10. Midway Hawk- Jer

The analyst seemed not favor this team probably due to average age of the roster. A particularly older team which can cause delays of whether injury can come. Midway Hawks do have one of the best rotations leading with: Kershaw, Verlander, and MadBum. I also see this team moving up in rankings as the season begins.

9. SBV TIgers- Andy

A questionable rank and team. Owner Andy Gamboa has been known to be

one to rush the trade market and make a mistake. Having a top pitching staff but lopsided hitters only carried by 1 or 2 big guys can hurt this team. I expect Andy and the Tigers to rush a trade through pitching to get hitters that can bite in the future.

8. Team Stretch- Aaron

A solid overall team, they will put up good competition to win a division or gain a playoff spot. Team Stretch has an abundance of pitchers to work with and probably one or two hitters away from being dominate. In the end i can see this team being a Top 5 overall in the League.

7. Ice Ice Babies- Brandon

The owner who took Mookie Betts over Mike Trout for the #1 overall pick. Some say he was paid over. Although the team has a league investigation over that move he still comes out with a star studded outfield. Along with a solid staff. Bullpen can use work but will do good.

6. Team Williams

Probably the one team that shows speed and power. The shortstop position is weak but over time probably can find someone stronger.

5. Franklin Flashes- Whitey

Probably ranked this low due to being in the toughest division. Although having one of the best lineups and pitching staffs, so does everyone else in his league. So coming from a realistic standpoint itll be tough to even win consecutive games.

4. OL Chargers-Saul

The commissioner of the league who is under investigation on how he pulled trout comes in at #4. I actually predict him to fall in rankings. His Division with the Flashes is just too hard to even stay high in rankings. If Brantley can somehow learn to stay on the field it'll be a different story for the chargers. Bregman and Swanson are two huge dice rolls to even count on for starting rolls.

3.Microwave Domes- Kike

Rankings 6-3 are all in the same division. If this doesn't tell you how good it is then i don't know what else to say. Probably one of the most powerful lineups in the league gives him the favorite to win his division. While his rotation is filled with guys who have had success in the past. Guys like Grienke, Price, and Wainwright have a lot of prove with all having major down years last year.

2. Team Sterna

Many wonder how he came in as preseason rank 2. No complains on the lineup, but the pitching staff seems to have everyone questioning. Didn't Archer and Teheran lead MLB in losses last year? Julio Urias is way too young to rely on as well. I expect this team to fall.

1. Westside Warriors

The lineup is filled with All Star players and veteran help. Look to see if ROY favorite Benintendi can be someone who keeps up. If not it can cause problems. The pitching staff can use work outside of Martinez and Fulmer. Although Gausman is a opening day starter, it doesn't mean he can be counted on. Look for Westside Warriors and HOF GM Jay Gutierrez to take this team deep into playoffs.
