The Braves need a Big Move

With Mookie on the move to L.A, the Braves really need to make that BIG move to put them up in the top of the NL. Now don’t get me wrong, with the lineup they have now and the almost but certain starting 5 rotation of whom I believe would be M. Soroka, M. Foltynewicz, M. Fried, C. Hamels, and K. Wright can definitely make it a back to back to back NL East Divisional Champs run. But with this kind of move from a Rival Conference team makes it very clear their ready for a World Series Run again. So we should ask ourselves do we believe Johan Camargo is enough and if not will the Camargo/Riley pair be enough. Or do the Braves need to do the same and go all out for a top 3rd Basemen and where, who, and how do we get them. I have a few opinions myself and one possible and plausible trade that can put the Braves at the top spot of the NL.

1. Christian Pache and Ian Anderson on their way to Chicago, Kris Bryant on his way to Atlanta.

Pache started the year at Double A Mississippi and Plowed through the year striking .278/.340/.474 with 11 Homeruns and a 134 wRC+. Pache had trouble being consistent at this level but was on base a lot and made the most of his time on the field and in the box. Ian Anderson coming off a minor league season of 8 wins and 7 losses a 3.38 ERA (Earned Run Average) 172 Strike outs and 65 Walks with a 1.25 WHIP (Walk + Hits/Innings Pitched) Two really Valuable up and coming prospects could be finding a new home in Chicago if the Cubs are willing to send former MVP 2016 World Series Winner to Atlanta after coming off a beautiful and definitely better season than he has had recently. Posting out of 147 Game Appearances 153 Hits, 35 Doubles, 31 Home Runs, 77 RBI (Runs Batted In), 74 BB (Base On Balls), and a .284/.385/.516

2. Another possible deal would be Chicago taking two other Prospects for Bryant. Drew Waters and Kyle Wright the question there is how much are these prospects worth to the Braves? Drew Waters Started his 2019 season in Mississippi and ended in Gwinnett, He put very good numbers starting in Mississippi batting .319/.366/.481 out of 108 Games and 420 AB (At Bats) he totaled up 134 Hits 28 BB. In Gwinnett 26 Games 107 AB 29 Hits 5 doubles 2 Home Runs 11 RBI and 11 BB. He batted .271/.336/.374, Yes it does seem he slowed down a little when moving up to Gwinnett but that all comes with moving up to the next level, I believe he has made his adjustments this off season and will return with better numbers for this level of ball. If this Trade happens Chicago definitely will get a young great talented prospect they can mold to their play of ball. Along with sending Waters going to Chicago I believe Kyle Wright would be another good fit in the trade to Chicago for Bryant. Wright has put up good numbers all through his minor league Career it’s taking what he has and maturing it. 2019 in Gwinnett Wright posted 11 wins 4 losses and a 4.17 ERA and a 1.264 WHIP. In time if not sooner Wright can be a Rotation Pitcher for any team.

The Move to really put the Braves on Top would of course be to fill in the 3rd Base spot but what if it wasn’t what if they did play out the Camargo and Riley Duo at 3rd and go for a spot where most fans would already say is if all but filled. Could the Braves make a move to Change the way the NL looks completely. Now of course everyone can agree with me already that the Dodgers have been a struggling block for the Braves for the past 3 years already. They also looked scary before the Betts trade he just adds more fuel to the fire, it’s not like L.A needs him to be a top Contender and who knows maybe the dodgers are just looking for Valuables for Prospects. So I guess let me get to my point. Marcell Ozuna Left Field, Ronald Acuna Right Field, and the big addition I think they need to trade for Left/Center Fielder Mookie Betts is it possible this is the Atlanta Braves 2020 Outfield?

3. Now look I understand a Dodgers Braves Trade at this point is highly unlikely but not impossible. Now I am to believe no source but could it be possible that the Dodgers are acquiring value for young prospects? And then how much are the Braves willing to give away. I think something like Ender Inciarte, Drew Waters, and Ian Anderson for Mookie meaning the braves have to give up two really high top prospects and I veteran fast Center Fielder with a good contact bat and quick feet. ? Drew Waters Started his 2019 season in Mississippi and ended in Gwinnett, He put very good numbers starting in Mississippi batting .319/.366/.481 out of 108 Games and 420 AB (At Bats) he totaled up 134 Hits 28 BB. In Gwinnett 26 Games 107 AB 29 Hits 5 doubles 2 Home Runs 11 RBI and 11 BB, He batted .271/.336/.374.

As for Ian Anderson he is coming off a minor league season of 8 wins and 7 losses a 3.38 ERA (Earned Run Average) 172 Strike outs and 65 Walks with a 1.25 WHIP (Walk + Hits/Innings Pitched). Ender put up a .246, .343, .397 only 41 SO (Strike Outs) 26 BB (Base on Balls) and 49 Hits at 199 AB. Send them boys to L.A and bring Mookie to the A.
