March Madness is UPON us.

This isn't a post. I'm not going to shed any particular light on any particular topic, so please don't expect much. All i want to say is what everyone should already know... That March Madness is upon us. It has started. The conference tourney's going on the last couple days, right now, and the next couple days are where we find our Cinderella's, where we locate our sleeper into the sweet 16, and where we get comfortable putting our hopes and dreams behind whatever squad we enter into that Champion spot. THIS is the WEEK you watch a couple games (at the very least) and pick up the ability to say completely ridiculous but awe-inspiring comments amongst your friends like, "listen bros, I watched Florida Gulf Coast in the Atlantic Sun tourney, Dunk City is back and there was no way they were losing their first round game." Most of your buddies will probably call you a moron and point to the six other upsets you incorrectly picked, however, at least one of your friends is gonna silently say, "Man, Johnny knows his basketball." That's all you need. Take that and run with it. And take the games this week and soak them up. The NCAA tournament is incredible, no doubts about it. But this week and really starting today, there is a legitimate overload of incredible basketball coming at you at all hours of the day from all corners of the earth with desperate teams playing literally for their lives. Careers are ending all over America, the thoughts of professional careers (for better or worse) are being ascertained with every shot made on the big stage, and even announcers are trying to cement themselves into College Basketball lore with a memorable buzzer beater voice crack explosion. (Note: GUS JOHNSON PLEASE COME BACK TO ME, I LOVE YOU.)

[Morrison Winner vs. Oklahoma State]

As a note, this is from the Tourney, and not Championship week, but it should get you excited anyway, and even though I love Gus, my favorite moments for this particular clip are the incoherent noises that sound like they come from some sort of small dog that Bill Raftery makes at the 00:28 and 00:35 second marks. They make me LOL.

A couple things my posts will always have is some pop culture or a song suggestion or both in addition to the obvious Basketball insight and expertise (if you can call at that.)

Song for this week is Taylor Swift, "Welcome to New York." As you will come to learn, I have an eclectic taste for music and Pop and Country are both a big part of that. I am also living in New York for the first time and the song speaks to me despite the intended audience not being a 34 year-old male. It's also an anthem for the Big East and ACC teams who are coming to earn their seeds at MSG and Barclay's so I can incorporate that in there and look less foolish.

We will only go with a song this week but expect some pop culture references and general advice on life from an expert source. While I may not do a great job of applying many of my own advisements to myself, I am great at giving it so be prepared with pen and paper for note taking.

Now get out there and watch some hoops you people, because March Madness has already started. Go forth and consume content. Your buddy, CJ
