A Tale of Two Weekies: An O2 Fuel Mini-Series

It was the best of gains, it was the worst of pains. The last two weeks have been a melange of feels. There was the fantastic feeling of tight jeans not being so tight, but then there was the feeling that despite my solid efforts I was only losing 2 pounds of weeks. There was the proud moment of hitting every class for the week but then there was the return of knee issues. Yeah it’s been a series of conflicts for sure.

Through it all, the main success has been sticking to the adjustments in diet and exercise. Of course, to quote the wise Julia Childs, “Everything in moderation, including moderation.” I accidentally found myself at a pub last Friday at 130 in the morning discussing the genetic irregularity that is Kawhi Leonard. (To my credit I did limit myself to Sleeman Clear which is both low Carbs and Low Taste. Why can’t IPA’s be low carb?) I also managed to maintain a glacier speed as I completed 16km of my half marathon training on Sunday.

As I enter the last week of my 6 week challenge I am well aware that I won’t be dropping 14 pounds to complete the required 25 pound loss. That said, I also feel like I’ve discovered a good work out method and I intend on continuing with circuit training after my runs, races not digestive issues. Sorry...

So with one week left I am playing out the string. If I finish down 15 plus, it’s a start. Definitely not a victory but it will have to do. I have considered that muscle weighs more than fat but I have yet to completely convince myself that I have put on THAT much muscle.
