Deondre Francois Out For Season

Florida State may have lost to Alabama last night but the loss isn't what derailed the Noles playoff hopes. In the fourth quarter, when the game was seemingly out of reach, starting QB and one of the best players in the nation Deondre Francois was sacked and stayed down. After being carried off and carted out of the stadium. Today tests revealed that Francois will be out for the year with a leg injury, which will likely kill FSUs remaining CFP chances.
We all know the Noles offensive line would be a major weakness for the team, and in my Top 25 post I wrote that they had to keep Francois upright as there isn't much QB depth behind him. Jimbo Fisher will likely have to turn to redshirt junior QB JJ Cosentino who is a career 7/19 (37%), for 46 yards and 1 TD. If the Florida State OLine can't protect him, there are no other QBs with experience on the roster. All in all, a once promising year for the Noles may quickly become one the city of Tallahassee will want to forget.
