Gambling Picks 2/4

Last week was a down week, going 2-3 and losing some picks badly. Today we turn that around. A new week, 5 new picks.

Kentucky +2 vs Florida

Kentucky hasn't been very hot recently, dropping two of their last three, but De'Aaron Fox will be a game time decision and I expect him to play tonight in Gainesville. Malik Monk shines on the big stage, and I think he will go for 20+ points today. Florida has lost 12 straight games against the Top 8, and I expect Kentucky to win outright as the underdog.

UCLA -10.5 vs Washington

UCLA, like Kentucky, has lost two of their last three. However, their most recent game was a 16 point victory over Washington State, one of thirteen teams that has beaten Washington this year. The Huskies are not good and this game will get away from them quickly. UCLA should win by 15 or more tonight.

Maryland +1 vs Purdue.

It's time to put some respect on the Terps name. Mark Turgeon has his boys at 20-2 with good wins over Indiana, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State. Melo Trimble is yet again having a great season leading Maryland with 17 PPG. If they can slow down Caleb Swanigan for Purdue, Maryland should be able to win this game at home.

Arizona vs Oregon: The OVER 138.5

Arizona is averaging 77 points per game during the 15 game winning streak that they are currently on. Neither of these teams play at a high tempo, but Pac 12 games between ranked teams have been very high scoring as of late and I think these teams will get into the high 60s or low 70s rather easily today.

St John's +17.5 vs Villanova

Villanova is a very good team, perhaps the best in the country, but I can't see them covering a spread this big. Especially with the fact that when the two played last week Villanova won by 13. This game will likely get out of hand and the Cats will win easily, but if Jay Wright lets off the gas pedal late in the game the Red Storm should be able to cover this big spread.
