Kyler Murray Has A Rare Decision to Make

Years ago, many people saw Kyler Murray as the heir to Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M. Flash forward to 2018, and Murray is expected to fill the shoes of another Heisman Trophy winner, only this time its at Oklahoma. However, Murray may not be on the Sooners roster when OU opens up camp in August. Not only is he a top player on the football field, but he's one of the top draft prospects on the baseball diamond.

Murray is not only the leader of OU's offense, but their outfield as well as he plays centerfield for the Sooners, who are currently vying for a Super Regional berth. Murray is having an incredible 2018, hitting .296 with a .398 OBP, 47 RBIs, and 10 HRs and stolen bases. His season has vaulted him into a position to be drafted very high in todays MLB Draft, BaseballAmerica has him listed around the Top 100 draft eligible prospects, which almost guarantees him a spot on the first 4 rounds of the draft, and promises a hefty signing bonus.

While Murray is slated to be the starter for a Top 10 team coming off a playoff berth, his pro future in the NFL is not as surefire as his future in baseball. While the talent is there, he hasn't played much to prove himself as a pro prospect. Ultimately, the decision comes down to what Murray wants the most, but he holds OUs 2018 campaign in his hands.
