Best Baseball Bets 8/20
Baseball Bets for Thursday, August 20, 2020.
Yesterday, my bets went 1-3-1. That puts me at 3-6-1 now. My bonus NBA picks went 2-1, so NBA bets are 2-2 in the playoffs.
Here are my picks for today:
Minnesota Twins -110 vs the Milwaukee Brewers
Jose Berrios is on the mound for the Twins. He hasn't looked great in his last 2 starts but he should get back on track against the Brewers.
Chicago White Sox -160 vs the Detroit Tigers
Lucas Giolito and the White Sox offense will be too much for the Tigers, who are 8 straight.
Houston Astros/Colorado Rockies over 11.5 runs
Both of these offenses are on fire and this should be another high scoring game.
Los Angeles Dodgers/Seattle Mariners over 8.5 runs
Both of these offenses have been scoring runs as of late. Even with Kershaw starting to look like his old self, I expect both teams to score over 4 runs in this game.
San Diego Padres/Texas Rangers over 8 runs
The first 3 games of this series has averaged 13 runs per game. I expect the runs to keep coming.
Bonus NBA picks:
Portland Trail Blazers +6.5 vs the Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers don't have an answer for Damian Lillard and the Lakers offense looks discombobulated. I expect the Blazers to either lose in a close game or win outright.
Miami Heat -4 vs the Indiana Pacers
The Pacers put up a good fight in game 1 but still lost by 12. The Heat are the better and more talented team. Victor Oladipo will be a game time decision but will not be 100% if he plays.
