Bulls: We love You, But Why the Mess

?This has been a very confusing season for the Bulls. A team most figured was in rebuild mode is in average mode. Entering play tonight vs. the Phoenix Suns, Bulls sit as the 7th seed in the East looking to make a run for a playoff spot.

From bad free agent deals such as Dwayne wade, Rajon rondo, Bulls gave up the longest tenure Bulls player in Taj Gibson at the trade deadline and inconsistent swingman shooter Doug Mcdermott. In return from the Thunder, Bulls receive guard Cameron Payne, who Bulls VP Gar Forman says they look for Payne to have a big part of the Bulls' future.

Taj Gibson was a fan favorite. Being a native of Chicago and being at several homes games this season, to get merely nothing of real right now value or a good pick in draft for Gibson shows why Bulls' fans have not trusted the Bulls front office for several seasons now. Using 5 draft picks to get a below average swingman in Doug McDermott is a costly move draft pick wise for future Bulls' teams. To trade Doug and not get a pick back was a mistake I feel for the Bulls.

Jimmy Butler was on trading block all season and Bulls have decided to keep him when the team not going to contend for a championship for at least another 3 to 4 seasons just shows the Bulls lack of a plan and judgement when it comes to making team better.

Bulls fans are very skeptical of what Bulls' management will do moving forward. From the history of the front office it may get worse.

I expect Bulls to miss playoffs. I think the front court will miss Taj Gibson presence and the use of the young players will hurt bulls down the stretch although time on the court for them is needed.

This was supposed to the Bulls Rebuild year, maybe not tanking but no where near a playoff team. Hopefully the Bulls realize they don't have much and try to get all they can for Jimmy Butler in offseason and finally draft a decent player in the draft in June. If they continue in mediocrity, i see another 5, 6 year drought for Bulls being a legit championship contender which all Bulls fans deserve.
