NEW YORK - (From Staff Report and Official News release) - Are you ready for some B-ball?

DGital Media, the innovative creator of high quality, on-demand audio entertainment, and Time Inc.’s Sports Illustrated Group announced the latest addition to their partnership, “The Seth Davis Podcast,” which will launch on November 15 available on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn, and others. The teaser episode is available above and you can listen and subscribe.

While primarily known as one of the insiders in college hoops, Davis' audio platform will go much further, as he creates long form, smart conversations with leaders across the sporting, business and entertainment. The show will kick off with an in-depth conversation with Bob Stoops, head football coach at the University of Oklahoma with new episodes to follow weekly.

“This is another example of offering listeners very intelligent and insightful conversational podcast series with influencers, hosted by an influencer. We're proud to work with Seth and create another smart and thoughtful podcast series for fans of this genre,” said Chris Corcoran, Chief Content Officer, DGital Media. “Our partners at Sports Illustrated continue to provide the consumers with best in class content on all mediums, and we look forward to working with them to grow and enhance this podcast like we are doing with others.”

"This is not going to be a college basketball podcast, though I will certainly cover that sport at times,” Davis said. “Rather, it is going to be a chance for me to interview smart, interesting people from all over the world of sports, and maybe even outside the world of sports. I'm hoping to bring my listeners stories and insights from my guests, and I intend to get them to open up on how they go about the creative process and perfect their crafts. I am a big podcast listener, and I am psyched to finally be a host."

Davis began writing at Sports Illustrated in July 1995. He is currently a staff writer for SI and authors the Inside College Basketball column during the college basketball season as well as working on air for CBS and Campus Insiders. Before joining Sports Illustrated, Davis spent several years at The New Haven Register, where he wrote about various sports, including the NFL, NBA, college basketball and local high school sports. In 2003, his book Equinunk, Tell Your Story: My Return to Summer Camp about his experiences as a camp counselor, was published. His second book, When March Went Mad, was published in 2009.
