The Future for Jalen Ramsey is Very Bright

In a season that had some of the highest expectations since the franchise began in 1995, there couldn't be much more disappointment. The Jaguars fan base came into this season having so much optimism. From free agency, to the draft, and the emergence of offensive weapons such as Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns. The only piece that was missing was a good defense. While that has proved to be an improvement at times, the main constant on that side of the ball has been rookie Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey, for a first year player, has shown he is capable of being a franchise player for many years to come. One aspect that sticks out other than his stellar lockdown capability, is his passion for the game. If you have twitter, you've probably seen many poking fun at him for crying on the sideline during the Detroit game as the last few seconds are winding down. Some will say that a grown man in the NFL shouldn't be crying after a loss, but to me that shows how much passion Ramsey plays with in this game. Ramsey has also shown that he refuses to back down to anyone, including veteran trash-talker Steve Smith.

You can call Ramsey's personality 'cocky' or 'arrogant' but at the end of the day, players that go out there every Sunday with that amount of fire and passion play for a very long time in this league. Combine that passion with the talent he's shown so far, and we've got something special on the defensive side of the ball for years to come
