An Unlikely Hero

Joe Ingles is quickly becoming a Jazz fan favorite. He is making nearly 8 million dollars less than Alec Burks this year, who has yet to play in a single game all season. He also leads the entire NBA in three point field goal percentage, making .478% from downtown. There's a reason why Quin Snyder called Joe Ingles "The Glue" of The Jazz. He has come up big in multiple games this season, including last night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, where he came up big when it counted most. With the game tied at 99 and the time winding down, Ingles hit a crucial 3 pointer from the corner leaving the Lakers down with only 21.6 seconds left in the game. This isn't the first time that Ingles has come up big this season. Back on December 8, the Jazz hosted the Warriors with four of their five starters out that game due to injury. Ingles was called on by Coach Snyder to start the game and ended up leading the Jazz in scoring that night with 21 points. Ingles has played a big role in the Jazz's success. Whether that's throwing a perfect alley-oop pass to Gordon Hayward or contributing to getting stops on the defensive end when it matters most, he has played a surprisingly big role for the Jazz this season. Nobody expected Joe to be leading the league in three point field goal percentage this far into the season, but that's exactly what he is doing as the Jazz's unlikely hero.
