Kyrie...His time to be Batman, not Robin

Kyrie Irving has finally gotten his wish.....to play without LeBron James. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics executed a blockbuster trade that saw Kyrie go to the Celtics and Isaiah Thomas to the Cavaliers. Cleveland also got Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn's 2018 unprotected first-round pick. On the surface it looks as though Cleveland got the better of this deal. First of all, they unload a player that wanted to be somewhere else besides Cleveland. Secondly, they get a dynamic player in Thomas, who when healty, can score in bunches and is as tough as nails. Lastly, they got an athletic wing player in Jae Crowder, who will definitely improve their defense. And the cherry on the sundae, is that they also got Brooklyn's 2018 first round pick, which could be a very high pick. Kyrie goes to Boston where he will be surrounded with talent that includes Al Horford, Gordon Hayward, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, and Marcus Smart. Only time will tell if Kyrie will be able to be the man and lead a team, but he no longer has the shadow of LeBron James to hide under.
