Two Major Signings In The NHL
There's been two major signings in the National Hockey League.
The two signings happened just 48 hours before the 2016-17 season begins.
The Calgary Flames have locked up Johnny "Johnny Hockey" Gaudreau for the next six years.
The contract extension is a six-year, $53.45 million deal with a $3.96 signing bonus.
Hmm! $53 million?
I hope "Johnny Hockey" scores quite a few goals for that price.
He'll (Gaudreau) probably score a good few. He's a good player and is just 23 years-old.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has finally re-signed Nikita Kucherov to a three-year contract extension.
The contract is worth $4,766 million per season.
In 2015-16, Kucherov scored 30 goals and had 66 points in 77 games.
