RE to Sean Zak's Article

@zdubbsgolf                                                                                                                                                                                                A few days ago, a Journalist by the name of Sean Zak for GOLF.com Wrote what is to me, is just an article that just kicks someone (Steven Bowditch Specifically) while they are down for no good reason other than clickbait. (Article here) Sean Zak failed to look into why Steven Bowditch was Struggling. A simple google search would give him some context of why Steven was struggling. Nevertheless, Zak continued to write this article.

Sean Zak wrote When you analyze Bowditch's struggles from a strokes gained perspective, his season looks even worse. The PGA Tour maintained strokes gained averages for 185 players from 2016. Bowditch finished dead last, and it wasn't even close. His strokes gained average was 64% worse than anyone else's.

I'd struggle too if I was injured for the most part of the season. No one is gonna play to the same caliber when you're hurting 24/7. The audacity that Sean had to write this article is grotesque when he more than likely knew the reason Steven struggled for the most part of the season.

Then Sean decided to end the article with this

If anything, Bowditch’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad season is evidence that no matter how bad things get on the PGA Tour, life can still be pretty good.

If this doesn't piss you off, I don't know what will. There have been hundreds of golfer's who struggle to make any sort of money on the PGA tour. Grinding for paycheck after paycheck, Pro Golfer's are independent contractors, they do not have a salary to lean back on like other Professional Athletes.

Sean, I really hope next time you don't write an article just to kick someone while they're down especially since you probably knew the contextual factors behind it all.
