Dana White makes fight offer to Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather

The talk about Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather meeting in the boxing ring has been going on for quite some time now. The odds of this fight actually happening didn't seem likely until this past week. Mayweather told ESPN that he would fight McGregor for 100 million in guaranteed money, and that he offered McGregor 15 million guaranteed. Mayweather believes this is more money than McGregor has earned in any fight of his career this far and went on to state he has made 100 million in one fight before.

Dana White went on FS1's "The Herd" and refuted what Mayweather said. He stated no offer was made to McGregor and that McGregor has made more than 8 or 9 million in one night of work before. He also went on to point out how Mayweather's last pay-per-view outing only sold 350,000 buys while McGregor has broken the 1 million buy mark in his last two fights.

Is Floyd Mayweather asking for too much money?

White said he was making a real offer, which stands at 25 million for each fighter and a split of pay-per-view. With White putting that out there he is putting all the pressure on Mayweather. Will "Money" take the 25 million or will he stick to his demand of 100 million? We will have to wait and see, but this seems like it will go the Mayweather - Pacquiao route where it will take years for the fight to materialize. Hopefully by the time it is made people still care because let's face it, Mayweather is no spring chicken at the age of 39.
