Capital one cup results (28-29/10/14)
Hi, sports fans!
In today's post, I will cover the Capital One Cup results from Tuesday 28th. The first three games on Tuesday were:
Chelsea vs Shrewsbury Town
MK Dons vs Sheffield Utd
Afc Bournemouth vs West Brom
Chelsea, Bournemouth and Sheffield United were all victorious and came out 2-1 winners on the night.
Then, the two Wednesday games took place. They were:
Liverpool VS Swansea and Fulham VS Derby County.
In the fixture between Liverpool and Swansea, the game was evenly matched throughout the 90 minutes.
In the second half, Swansea striker Martin Emnes scored to break the deadlock and put the Swans 1-0 up at Anfield. Liverpool needed a goal and in the seventy-ninth minute 'Summer signing' Mario Balotelli came on and scored for Liverpool. Then in the 5th minute of injury time, Coutinho whipped in a beautiful ball which was headed in by Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren. The final score was 2-1 to the Mighty Reds.
In the other game, Derby outclassed Fulham and hammered them 5-2.
