Chelsea VS Derby (Capital One Cup Quarter final - 16/12/14)

In today's post, I will be covering the highly anticipated quarter-final between Chelsea vs Derby which took place at the Pride Park Stadium in Derby (with the championship side as hosts).
Chelsea went into the break 1-0 up after dominating possession, with the goal coming from Belgian superstar Eden Hazard in the 23rd minute. The visitors continued there attacking press into the second half, with Filipe Luis netting a beautiful goal in the 56th minute making it 2-0 to the blues.
Derby hit back in the 71st minute with a goal from Bryson, bringing the hosts back into the game ( the score 2-1 to the visitors) with just under 20 minutes to play. However, Chelsea saw off the game comfortably, with Schürrle finding the net with 8 minutes to play. The final score in Derby was 3-1 to Chelsea, much to the frustration of the championship side.
Chelsea will go on to face Liverpool in the first Capital One Cup semi-final.
In the other quarter final, Sheffield United shocked the world defeating Southampton 1-0 at home with a fabulous goal from McNulty in the 63rd minute, securing a win for the blades. The win for them sets up a quarter final against Spurs.
