ATP World Tour-London singles games 1and 2
Hi sports fans! Today I will be writing about the opening two games of the ATP World Tour here in London. The two games were between Federer and Berdych and Djokovic and Nikishori.
The first game I am writing about was between Djokovic (1) and Nikishori (8). Well, the game didn't go very smoothly for the world number 8, as he was outclassed in the short game that lasted for 65 minutes.Djokovic won 6-1,6-1 he said, 'It has been the best year of my life, getting married, becoming a father, winning the French, Australian and US open plus winning the biggest tournament Wimbledon.' The number 8 didn't give Djokovic very challenging serves and generally, was very sloppy. The past few years Novac has become a tennis giant destroying other class players like Murray and Federer. The world number 1 also continues his winning streak of 23 matches.
The second and last game was between Federer (2) and Berdych (6). Federer got off to a great start in the first set being 4-0 up. However he then slipped and just' won the set 6-4. In the second set Federer found his flow and won the set 6-2. Federer may not be as good as Djokovic but he has hundreds of trophies under his belt. He has also been voted Tennis fans favourite player of 2015. Federer said, 'it was one of his worst first sets in his whole career. He was having to take second serves continuously, double faults and nothing coming from the baseline it was rough.' Federer is also favourite to win the tournament. Will we see sparks fly? Federer is playing Djokovic tomorrow at 8pm English time at London's O2 Arena.
