. The first game of the weekend was at St James Park between Liverpool (and the struggling for survival) Newcastle. In the first half, both teams played well. The teams were attacked ferociously and seemed to enjoy fouling other players. Altogether there were three bookings all from Newcastle players…for ‘dirty’ fouls.

Then, in the second half - Liverpool started to increase their defending. Until the 73rd minute Newcastle the substitution Ayton Perez (a Newcastle striker) scored. The score was 1-0 and it remained so until the end of the game. The final score was 1-0 to Newcastle.

The other scores were:

Arsenal 3 Burnley 0

Chelsea 2 Qpr 1

Everton 0 Swansea City 0

Hull city 0 Southampton 1

Leicester 0 West brom 1

Stoke 2 West ham 2

On Sunday their were two games,The first game was the lunchtime kick off at Manchester city at their home ground - the Eithad stadium. The match was between Man City and Man United. In the first half, both teams attacked aggressively. In the thirty-ninth minute Chris Smalling got his second yellow card and was sent off.

In the second half Manchester city besieged Manchester United relentlessly until the 63rd minute. This is when Man United gave away a penalty. Agüero scored the penalty and it meant it was his 11th goal (of his twelve games) this season. The final score was 1-0 to Man City at the Eithad.

The other game was between Tottenham and Astonvilla. The final score was 2-1 to Tottenham.
