Rohit Sharma breaks World Record as India win comfortably against Sri Lanka

In today's post, I'll be covering India's massive win over Sri Lanka with Rohit Sharma being the standout player. India won the toss and chose to bat first as the batting conditions were ideal in Kolkata on the day.
India's two openers were Ajinkya Rahane and the record-breaker Rohit Sharma who were both coming in after average performances in previous fixtures vs the Lankans. India managed to reach a whopping 404 runs, with captain Rohit Sharma scoring 264. Sharma played a classy, attacking innings, hitting 33 boundaries and 9 sixes.
Rohit Sharma's fantastic knock makes him the highest individual run scorer at Eden Gardens as well as being the first player to score 264 in any ODI game for their country.
After hitting that mammoth total, India cruised to victory, bowling Sri Lanka out for 251, therefore winning by 159 runs.
