There was a lot of hype about the match, as it was one of the greatest games on this planet as it was Real Madrid vs Barcelona . It was highly anticipated, as the battle was more between 2 of the worlds best players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Recently there was a lot of speculation about the referee's decisions, in the last few matches in all competitions, Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich in a match which was also called as one of the most controversial matches in champions league after Cheslea vs Barcelona in 2009.
1st Half
So The match begun Real Madrid dominated the first few minutes, but Barca definitely started hitting back . Casemiro got booked for a foul on Messi . Moments later Asensio was brought on for Bale who got injured. Both the sides had kept on the pressure by attacking .
2nd half
Barca started attacking in the second half, Both the sides Had a lot of chances but failed to make the most of them . Then at 73rd minute Rakitic unleashed a rocket, he cut the ball from his right to his left and unleashed a rocket from outside the box into the left corner with no chance for Keylor Navas 2-1 To Barcelona. Madrid fans as well as the players were frustrated, as the game went by Madrid players lost their cool and started making rash challenges. Then a few moments later Messi was on the counter, That's when Sergio ramos made a reckless tackle on Messi, which got him sent off . Real Madrid were down to 10 men with less than 15 minutes to play, but that didn't stop them from attacking they created chances . Benzema was replaced by James Rodriguez . 85 Mins played Marcelo with a beautiful low footed cross found James Rodriguez Who made a brilliant run from the far post to the near Post and Bam! 2-2 . James's run in the box was timed to perfection . Despite being reduced to 10 men Real Madrid hadn't given up . But then it just had to be him 90+1 Sergio roberto makes a brilliant run from his Right back postion, to the center cricle passes the ball to Andre Gomes, Gomes passes the ball to Alba who was making a run forward, Real Madrid's defense had fallen asleep, They were so busy in marking the players inside the box that the didn't see Messi Making the run into the Box, Alba passes it to Messi and a left footed curled effort from him breaks the heart of 80,000 Madrid fans . 3-2 Barcelona. Real Madrid's fans hearts were broken, as it was Messi once again at the bernabeu.
