Former-Redskins OC takes over as Rams Head Coach

In the middle of the 2016 NFL season, the LA Rams fired their head coach, Jeff Fisher. It was a long time coming for Fisher and that left the Rams in need of a head coach. Ultimately LA settled on Redskins offensive coordinator Sean McVay. McVay is just 30-years-old, and now becomes the youngest NFL head coach ever hired. That title previously belonged to former-Raiders coach Lane Kiffin who took over that job at 31-years-old.

McVay has spent the last three seasons as the Redskins offensive coordinator. In 2013, his first year with the gig, The Redskins offense ranked 23rd in the league. In 2014, that number dipped to 26th in the league. In 2015 the Redskins cracked the top-10 in team offense ranking 10th in the NFL.
