Giovani Lo Celso attracting interest from Premier League clubs
Reports have emerged that suggest Real Betis' Argetinian midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is garnering interest from clubs in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old recently joined Los Verdiblancos on a permanent deal after triggering a clause in his loan agreement with Paris Saint Germain.
But if reports are to be believed, the club could be looking to cash in on that versatile player, who has nine goals and three assists in 30 La Liga appearances so far this season.
That might not sound particularly impressive, but considering the fact that Lo Celso has played the majority of the season as a central midfielder, then things start to look more promising.
The 5-foot-10 Argentine is a flexible option through the middle of the pitch, having also lined up as both a CAM and striker at times this season.
He has performed exceptionally well in the Europa League for Betis, with six goal involvements (five goals, one assist) in just seven appearances.
Despite often playing a deeper role, Lo Celso is certainly an attack-minded individual - averaging 1.9 shots per game in the league (2.3 in Europe), while also completing and impressive two dribbles per game.
His ability to take the ball forward, even from a deeper position, is a quality that is bound to interest players - with Everton, one of the club's reportedly interested, likely to benefit the most should they sign him.
Lo Celso is likely to come at a significant cost, however, with the Spanish club paying out £21.5 million to take up the option of signing him on a permanent deal.
If they are willing to part with him, a return of around £30 million could be expected, particularly considering how little time he has spent as a permanent member of the club.
Capped ten times by his native Argentina, Lo Celso looks like he could have a bright future ahead of him and a move to the Premier League would certainly give him the challenge needed to prove he is not a one-season wonder.
