As a member within the "Group of 5," the Sun Belt is allotted one automatic bowl bid along with four other at-large bids. The outright conference champion usually earns the right to compete in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The at-large bids would be invites from the following: the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, the AutoNation Cure Bowl, the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl, and the Dollar General Bowl. Arkansas State Red Wolves: 1st (6-4) (6-0) / Remaining games: @ LA-Lafayette and @ Texas State / Projected Bowl Game: Dollar General Bowl v. Ohio or Toledo

Troy Trojans: 2nd (8-2) (5-1) / Remaining games: @ Texas State and @ GA Southern / Projected Bowl Game: R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl v. Old Dominion or the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl v. Central Michigan
