?The Detroit Red Wings could be headed for a season that fans aren't quite used to, an underwhelming season in which the team may miss the playoffs for the first time in 25 years. And the person that Wings fans are pinning the blame to, is long-time GM Ken Holland.

Rumors have been heating up about Holland's job status since the beginning of the offseason, and the questionable moves he made during this past offseason only added to the heat Holland is taking.

Some of the moves/non-moves that had many question Holland this past offseason were the re-signings of Darren Helm and Drew Miller, the failure to add a top goal scorer and a top defenseman, and, to a lesser extent, not exploring the trade market for players such as Jimmy Howard.

Fans are now growing even more enraged after Holland's decision to place forwards Teemu Pulkkinen and Martin Frk on waivers, to which both were eventually claimed(Pulkkinen by Minnesota, Frk by Carolina). Also the decision to start Anthony Mantha in the minors this year has been another subject mentioned by angry fans.

Whether the Red Wings replace Holland or not is currently speculation at this point, but this is certainly a situation to watch as we go forward, as Holland's job security could very well be in jeopardy if the Red Wings get off to an underwhelming start this year.
