?Some morning notes from around the league;

-Dallas Stars forward Mattias Janmark is out 5-6 months following surgery to repair a joint issue in his knee. Janmark was a solid contributor for the Stars last season in their top 6.

-In unfortunate news for the Blues and Schwartz, Jaden Schwartz will be out at least 4 weeks with an elbow injury. Schwartz missed a lot of time last season due to injury.

-PK Subban offered his take on stay-at-home defensemen: "If your a stay-at-home defenseman, you limit yourself".

-Vladimir Sobotka is returning to the KHL this season instead of returning to the Blues due to his last negotiated contract with his KHL team resulted in a clause that kept him from pursuing an NHL opportunity while under contract.
